Hi, I wasYoeman, PO3 Tom Grayson, on the special sea and anchor details and stayed with the Isbell from it’s last crusie in Vietnam, decommissioning from active to reserve fleet and then until it was sold to the Greek Navy. We made two Mazatlon trips, two Hawaii trips and the Portland Oregon. We trained reserves, Sea Scouts and went where we were needed. I was transfered to the Uss Lang when the Isbell was decommisioned out of the Reserve Fleet and sold to the Greeks. I have many wonderful memories of that ship, and many funny stories.
Thanks,
